BETA 6/1/12

B = Biology; I'm feeling tired. Took the red eye flight back from Alaska. Running on 4 hours of sleep. I'm also feeling full. I just ate before I'm headed to the baseball game tonight. E = EMOTION; I'm currently frustrated that I ate so poorly while in Alaska. I feel like I want to start my diet over every day. Why cant I say NO to crap food? When I'min SF I do much better. Tonight I had lean turkey meatballs and a sweet potato for dinner and it was super tasty and super good. I also feel "proud" that I had a good dinner. T - THOUGHTS; I'm tired. I'm tired of traveling. A ACTION; go to baseball game.

You want me to eat out of a what!?!?

Day 3... Back on track
Well well well.  What are you doing around these parts?  Didn’t we get rid of you a few years ago in Boston?
Yup, thats what I imagine the folks at HMR Boston must be thinking when my name pops back up on their roster.  A few years ago I did a weight loss program called HMR Boston and lost a good amount of weight.  I specifically remember going into the program weighing at 242lbs.  At the time I felt completely out of control.  242lbs was the heaviest I had EVER been and I thought it was time to take some drastic measures to bring me back down.
I was working as a marketing associate product manager and was in control of my schedule by punching the clock in Waltham.  I also had less travel requirements on me as I was going to the same office day in and day out.  It was quite the little adventure as I lost 22lbs.  I got down to 218lbs.  I went into college at 225lbs so I was feeling ecstatic to see myself down at that weight.
Then what happened?  Well I got promoted. With the promotion came travel requirements and travel meant loss of control with eating.
I put the weight back on within six months and never looked back.
Now I’m at 251.8lbs and miserable.  Similar story really.  I took the past ten months off to travel around the world and surprise! surprise!  With limited budget, my environment in control (i.e. no easy, cheap food in front of me with unlimited budget!) and added exercise (since I had to walk everywhere)… I…. da da daahhhh!  LOST WEIGHT!  I don’t know how much I really lost but I’d say when I came back in May with my busted up shoulder I must have been down in the 235 range. That would put me down fifteen pounds and I was PUMPED!  I guess the good news is that fifteen pounds doesn’t seem so daunting… when I think about loosing thirty pounds I feel like I’m climbing up a HUGE hill… but fifteen pounds seems doable.
SO here I go.  I’ve committed to sixty days on this diet. Come hell or high water I’m moving on up with this thing.  After sixty days I’ll hopefully be at least fifteen pounds lighter and can move into a new program working with a nutritionist.
So lets go EAT OUT OF A BOX!!
